But a lot of people would like to see much less of you. School is a work place. It’s a workplace for teachers and a workplace for your fellow students. It’s not fair to turn school into a place where you show yourself off. If you feel the need to show off, do so on your own time in a location where it is appropriate. But when you come to this shared space, practice a little modesty and a little common sense. Come to school like you are going to a work place, and by work place I don’t mean Hooters. When you come to school looking like you’re going to the beach or to a yoga class, you’re setting a tone that you don’t care about your learning and you don’t respect those who have to share a learning/working space with you. NO!! Discrimination for what? Against your individual liberty to dress how you want? A dress code is professional. I am glad for dress codes. They define how you should look. For a cross dresser it is the difference between feeling “normal” i.e. warm, comfortable, relaxed when dressed en femme and feeling antsy and a bit out of your skin. I find simply wearing a pair of panties under my male clothes calming and “normal”. The more I build out from there, garter belt, stockings, heels, bra, skirt blouse, make up, the more and more “normal” I feel, as well as a tingly calmness near euphoria. This British actor has not only good sense in acting but his dressing sense is good. In public appearance his dressing sense always made him matter of appreciation.
