I think my problem with this book is that the narrative was kind of repetitive. I get tired fast when I'm constantly being reminded of certain things throughout the story. Also, the side characters weren't that interesting and most of the time the side characters really make or break the book for me. There were times I was really invested in the story but then it would slow down again and it would lose my attention.
