That said, there’s just not that much to Speaking of Jesus. In many ways, the same material could be covered in a few articles or videos. Additionally, Medearis quotes too much from Dallas Willard and Donald Miller (and I can see comparisons between Medearis and the latter). Finally, there’s no real oomph at the end; the book just stops. Overall though, the insights found in Speaking of Jesus are the kind of simple and encouraging points that are often easy to forget.
